When can my child start lessons?
New students starting at age 6 can begin anytime during the year from September until May. Spring or summer lessons could also be offered. Parents can register their children in the spring to reserve a lesson time in the fall.
Piano Lessons for a Young Child: What to Expect
Do we need to buy a piano?
To fully benefit from lessons your child needs an instrument at home. An acoustic in good condition is preferable or a digital piano (keyboard) with 88 keys.
Where are lessons held?
In Deux-Montagnes, Quebec on 25th Ave. near Mountainview Elementary School, or online.
What about scheduling and cost?
Lessons are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There are 32 private lessons in the year, divided into four 8-week terms. For weekly 30-minute lessons in 2024-2025 the cost is $200 for eight lessons. There is a $30 fee per family per year for 4 recitals.
