When can my child start lessons?
New students starting at age 6 can begin anytime during the year from September until May. Spring or summer lessons could also be offered. Parents can register their children in the spring to reserve a lesson time in the fall.
Piano Lessons for a Young Child: What to Expect
Do we need to buy a piano?
To fully benefit from lessons your child needs an instrument at home. An acoustic in good condition is preferable or a digital piano (keyboard) with 88 keys.
Where are lessons held?
In Deux-Montagnes, Quebec on 25th Ave. near Mountainview Elementary School.
What about scheduling and cost?
In 2025-2026 lessons are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are 32 private lessons in the year, divided into four 8-week terms. For weekly 30-minute lessons in 2025-2026 the cost is $205 for eight lessons. There is a $35 fee for one child ($45 for 2 children) per year for supplies and 4 recitals.
