When can my child start lessons?
New students starting at age 6 can begin anytime during the year from September until May. Spring or summer lessons could also be offered. Parents can register their children in the spring to reserve a lesson time in the fall.
Piano Lessons for a Young Child: What to Expect
Do we need to buy a piano?
To fully benefit from lessons your child needs an instrument at home. An acoustic in good condition is preferable or a digital piano (keyboard) with 88 keys.
Where are lessons held?
In Deux-Montagnes, Quebec on 25th Ave. near Mountainview Elementary School.
What about scheduling and cost?
In 2026-2027 lessons are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are 32 private lessons in the year, divided into four 8-week terms. For weekly 30-minute lessons in 2026-2027 the cost is $215 for eight lessons plus a $40 annual registration fee.
